the reason for a hammer drill is for drilling into concrete with a concrete drill bit .you don’t use it very often but if you need to anchor something into concrete then its the best way to drill a hole in concrete brick or block hope I was a help

Hammer drills are used to drill anchor bolt holes in concrete. Most concrete is mixed with rock. Hammer drill will break the rock so the masonry drill can go to the required depth.
